Rider Ability
To attend a Fancy Footwork Equestrian clinic you must be fully in control of the horse that you are riding in a group situation in walk, trot and canter. There is no obligation to canter either in the warm-up or in the clinic itself. However, you do need to be able to canter in case an unexpected situation arises.
Age of Riders
Riders need to be 12 years old and above to attend a Fancy Footwork Equestrian clinic. Exceptions can be made for this, but only if discussed via email beforehand.

Horse Age & Experience
Horses need to be a minimum of 4 years of age to attend a polework clinic. If you are planning to bring a young or inexperienced horse to a clinic and you aren’t sure how it will behave, please email Fancy Footwork Equestrian before you make a booking to discuss.

Stallions
Unfortunately, stallions are not permitted at clinics. The only exception to this is if you book all 4 spaces in a clinic with friends who know and are happy riding alongside a stallion.

Horse Behaviour
Please make your coach aware at the beginning of the session if your horse objects to other horses being close to it. This way they can inform the other riders in your group and ensure they give your horse maximum space while passing.

Vaccinations
All horses must be fully up to date with routine vaccinations to attend a clinic. Proof of vaccination may be requested.

Pregnancy
If you are pregnant and wish to take part in a clinic, please email Fancy Footwork Equestrian prior to booking your place. This allows discussion to take place and relevant enquiries to be made with insurance companies to check that you are covered to attend.

Safety Equipment
It is a condition of booking that you wear a riding hat that complies with the current safety standards at all times when riding at a Fancy Footwork Equestrian clinic. Body protectors are optional.

Risk & Responsibility
When attending a clinic, you do so entirely at your own risk, and no responsibility can be taken by Fancy Footwork Equestrian for any damage to vehicles or theft of property.

Venue Etiquette
Please clear up any mess your horse makes before leaving the parking area. It is your responsibility to pick up any droppings from your horse anywhere outside the arena at the venue you are attending.

Punctuality
Please be punctual and ready to start your session at the correct time. Sessions run back-to-back with no breaks in between and will run to time. Late arrival may result in reduced riding time.

Minimum Numbers
Please note that a clinic needs a minimum of 3 fully booked hours in order to go ahead. If you have booked onto a clinic that subsequently does not go ahead due to lack of interest, you will be contacted and your date will be transferred to the next available clinic of your choice (subject to availability).
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations by Riders
If you cancel your place for any reason, your booking will only be transferred to a future clinic if your place can be filled. If your place is not filled, you will not be eligible for a transfer.

Late Cancellations
If you cancel within 48 hours of the day of your clinic you will not be eligible for any transfer. No refunds are given under any circumstances.

How to Cancel
If you need to cancel your place, please email fancyfootworkequestrian@gmail.com as soon as possible.
Clinic Postponement
Postponements
In the event that a clinic is postponed due to adverse weather conditions, lack of interest, or a human/equine viral outbreak, you will be contacted as soon as possible via email (using the email address registered on the booking site). A post will also be shared on the Fancy Footwork Equestrian Facebook page. If in any doubt, please check both before you travel.

Transfers
Your place will be transferred to the next clinic with availability at that venue, or to a different venue if you prefer.

Alternative Dates
If the new date does not suit you, you may use your booking for any Fancy Footwork Equestrian clinic within the following 12 months. To make a new booking, you must contact Fancy Footwork Equestrian directly.

Refunds
No refunds will be given under any circumstances.
Late Arrivals
Joining Late
If you arrive late to your session for any reason, it will be up to the coach running the clinic to decide whether you may join in. Late arrivals are highly disruptive to other horses and riders in the group, and the exercises are structured in a progressive way which needs to be followed in the correct order to aid the horse’s understanding and maintain confidence.

Forfeited Places
If you arrive 20 minutes or more after your original start time, no entry will be permitted and your place will be forfeited.
Safety
In-Hand Work
Riders are permitted to walk their horse in-hand around the arena to familiarise them if required, but this may only be done for the first 5 minutes of the warm-up while other riders are still in walk. After this time, all riders must be mounted in order to complete their warm-up and continue with the session.

Ridden Sessions
All clinics are conducted as ridden sessions.

Safety Equipment
It is a condition of booking that you wear a riding hat that complies with the current safety standards at all times when riding at a Fancy Footwork Equestrian clinic. Body protectors are optional.

Tack & Equipment
To attend a clinic run by Fancy Footwork Equestrian, all horses must wear a correctly fitting saddle and bridle for the duration of the session. Bareback pads and bitless bridles are permitted. Rope halters and similar are not permitted, and horses cannot be ridden bareback.
Photography & Media
Promotional Content
Please be aware that during your clinic, photography and videography may be taken for promotional purposes and shared online. Riders will not be tagged in any content. If you do not wish to be included, please speak to the coach running the session beforehand.

Official Photography
When an official photographer is present at a clinic, you are prohibited from screenshotting or sharing any photos taken by the photographer, whether watermarked or not, unless you have purchased the image or have been given permission by the photographer.
