Bringing the polework to your own yard!

Pole Parties

Do you have horses that are difficult to load or who are tricky travellers, so you don’t want to take them out to clinics for fear of not being able to get back home again?

Maybe you don’t have any transport and hiring a lorry isn’t possible.

Perhaps you have a young or green horse that you’re not confident yet taking away from home?

Or do you just want to have some good old-fashioned fun with the other horse owners from your yard, and do something a little different… well, that’s where I come in!

If possible, your yard will be able to provide approximately 10 poles and I can bring the rest to build a fun, challenging layout without you even needing to leave the comfort of your yard, saving you both hours of time getting ready and travelling to a different venue, and saving you significant amounts in fuel costs!

The sessions can be tailored to the riders or horses needs, with younger riders, welcomed!

In some cases, it will be possible to arrange a yard pole party for a week day evening, subject to the time of year and the distance from my base ( see below for details)

What’s not to love!

How It Works

The sessions run with two people riding together in a pair for 45 minutes.

To qualify for a visit , a minimum of 10 people are required to book and pay in, but there is no upper limit to the amount of people… the more the merrier and these can be liveries on the yard or friends from surrounding areas.

Costs

The cost is £35 per person with a maximum travel distance of 75 miles from my base at CV47 2YW.

(If you would like to arrange a weekday evening Pole party, my maximum travel distance is 50 miles.)

The quoted cost assumes there are no associated hire costs for me to pay.

Once a date is booked in, payment in full will be required within one week to secure the booking with all payment coming from one account via bank transfer.

Setting Up

In the majority of cases, the first riders usually start at 10 am and sessions run back to back every 45 minutes until all riders booked in have ridden.

Please be advised that I will need access to the arena for approximately one hour prior to the start of the first session to set up, and will need 30 minutes to put polls away after the last session has finished and for this I politely request help if at all possible.

As previously mentioned, ideally, the venue will provide a minimum of 10 poles that I can use, and these must be put in an easily accessible place ( ideally, inside the arena on a three-quarter line if possible) ready to be used in setting up your layout.

I need access to be able to drive to the arena in order to unload my poles to use. If I can’t get access, I can still come but can only work with whatever poles you already have.

Weather

If the weather is forecast to be either exceptionally heavy rain, unsafe strong winds or snow/ice causing the arena to freeze, we will make a decision the day before as to whether to go ahead with the clinic, and if needed the event will be rescheduled.

Please note no refunds will be given in the event of postponement caused by the weather, and the replacement clinic will be arranged for the earliest mutually convenient date.

Terms and Conditions

If any member of your clinic cancels at any time, it will be up to you/them to find a replacement as places for these events are not transferable or refundable.

The person organising the clinic will be my point of contact and will be responsible for gathering and paying all of the monies on time, pairing suitable riders together and allocating them their session time.

All sessions to start on time, if a rider is late for whatever reason , they will forfeit part of their riding time as the session will finish on time regardless.

Once a date is agreed, it cannot be altered within one month of the agreed Clinic date.

Where a date does need to be changed by the organiser I will endeavour to do my best to provide a new date. However, please note that in the majority of cases, I book my weekends up a minimum of three months in advance.

Please email me at fancyfootworkequestrian@gmail.com for any further information, to discuss your requirements, or to find a suitable date for your very own Fancy Footwork clinic!
